Ten Years ago, I was ten years old,
Ten Years later, I am ten times bold,
My mother never gave birth to a son,
She gave birth to a voice,
She raised a sun,
I am not saying that men should not be heads,
But I am blinded by people who see women as tails,
Women who were vehicle engines,
Who started and drove all our journeys,
I have not been to the North Pole,
but disrespect to women is cold,
Wife beating is old.
And I am pregnant with the thought of change,
Hoping one day it will give birth to twins,
Bundles of joy, jumping without judgment.
