I never knew being poor is such a tormenting thing though it’s not our choice in the society we are living in. We are all blessed I’m different ways. You might be poor but possessing something precious in you which you have never been able to showcase it to outsmart the ‘men in black suits’. Ironically, government programs could do nothing to help the poor, because poverty arises from the twisted psychology of the poor themselves yet they are all over the news preaching water and taking wine.
Politicians use all sweet words seeking your votes, promising change to the society but when they get there everything changes. Someone said the only thing they change its their suits. All the scripted promises in their manifestos end up being a tale to tell.Minimum-wage jobs are physically demanding, have unpredictable schedules, and pay so meagerly that workers can’t save up enough to move on. Yet the politicians promised a better tomorrow. Being poor is no one’s choice. The people up there are using the common mwananchi as a live bait to acquire what they need.
The low class people have to pay more taxes yet someone who ‘owns the government’ has been exempted from paying the taxes. We’ll never be able to fight poverty if the politicians will not change their view that’s, the poor are shiftless, irresponsible, and prone to addiction.
