There’s a sweet comfort,
in crossing to the other side,
As you lay bare and pale
life itself leaving you,
When it grows dark,
Leaving,
to the bright light,
Walking to the other side
there’s a relief,
For what’s true
and what’s a lie?
Is there life after death,
Or life ends after death,
Or life keeps on recurring,
With brief stops and sudden changes?
I told all that was-ever-told was a lie
would you believe it as truth or as a lie?
Can you cheat death,
Or is death life?
What is true,
what is a lie?
When you cross to the other side,
sitting in the council of the dead
ask them then,
what was true, what was false?
what are life and death,
what are love and hate?
