Dear Single Mum,
It is my hope that you are still doing well, raising that boy whose Dad ran away from the heavy responsibility. I am sorry that you tried to contact him, asking for some money to visit the clinic but he ignored (as usual). I feel bad knowing that you have no one to lean on while on this new journey. It breaks my heart when I remember the day that he scolded you for getting pregnant. It is saddening of how he threatened that the child is not his and that you wanted to take advantage of him. I am truly sorry and hope that your heart wound will heal completely.
I am grateful he is growing up healthy. His chubby cheeks are proof enough that you feed him well; the way he says ‘Thank you’ and ‘Sorry’ is proof enough that you raise him well. Nobody thought you two would reach this far but here you are: You are a strong human and your courage is not of this world. I am happy that he will not be a stubborn teenager so you don’t need to stress about the fact that he has no father figure. He has you and that is all that matters.
You are a role model to your Baby, if not the society. I applaud you, I appreciate you. Keep soldiering Mama.
